The member representing Bonny Local Government area in Rivers state house of Assembly, Honourable Abinye Blessing Pepple was today honoured in his office by Comrade Barry Ndu coordinator of Ghana Nigeria achievers award.
According to Comrade Barry, the recipient, Honourable Blessing Abinye was due for the award since August 2017 haven gone through the initial qualification needed to become a nominee for the award.
"The ceremony which held at the British council Ghana in August 2017 couldn't issue the award to the recipient due to his engagement here in Nigeria" he said.
"However, the organizers of the award found Honourable Abinye B. to be a young and inspiring leader thus, the body sent representatives to hand over the award to the Honourable member" he said.
On receiving the award, Honourable Abinye Blessing thank the organizers for their kin interest in the development of youths both in Nigeria and Ghana. He also thank them for bringing to fore all his secret endeavors in ensuring that his constituents enjoy the dividends of good governance.
In his words "I am so glad that all efforts at providing good governance is not a loss. To whom more is given, more is expected hence, I promise to do my best at ensuring that good governance prevail to my constituency first and to Rivers state. This award is not just for me but for my people".
According to our reporter, comrade Ndu said, " this is our little way of appreciating those who are exceptional in their endeavours and in turn encourage them to put in more effort".
The coordinator who handed over the award appreciated the Honourable member and straight way left the office.
