NIGERIAN BRIDE ABANDONS HER WEDDING TO SIT FOR EXAMS ON HER WEDDING DAY

- A Nigerian bride has given weddings a whole new meaning with her action
- She was spotted in an examination hall in her wedding dress
A Nigerian lady identified as Dooshima Kusugh has become the talk of the town after the young lady put her wedding on hold in order to sit for an exam. Interestingly, she was spotted at the examination hall with her wedding dress and bridesmaids.
Kusugh has become an inspiration for most brides in Nigeria as she accorded a high level of importance to her education when her big day clashed with the day she was meant to walk down the aisle with her beau.
The 300 level student of Benue State University (BSU) was cheered on by her colleagues after seeing the great stunt she pulled on her wedding day in a bid not to miss her paper. It is truly inspiring seeing this beautiful lady all dressed up for her big day while dedicating a little time for her examination.
This seemed like a logical decision to most people who think the wedding ceremony would end and she would have to continue with her life. For those who have dreamt of getting married for years, this kind of decision may be hard to make.

The pictures of the bride in the examination hall were shared by Daniel Kusugh on Facebook. The young man who seems to be related to the bride was so proud of her and could not hide it in the caption he attached to the post.

To make matters interestingly, Kusugh was spotted with two of her bridesmaids in the exam hall. The ladies may also be sitting for the same paper. There is no doubt that this lady values her education and would not want to jeopardize her future for anything.
Will you be able to do this as a bride? Do you think she took a big risk by writing an examination on her wedding day? Let your opinion count in the comment section.

PARENTS OCCUPY CATALAN SCHOOLS AHEAD OF POLL

The Latest on Catalonia's plans to hold a referendum Sunday on breaking away from Spain (all times local) 8 p.m. Ruben Satinya wasn't sure he would vote in favor of independence for Catalonia in Sunday's disputed referendum, but the Spanish government's effort to prevent the poll from taking place has convinced him to vote in favor of a break with Spain. He is spending the night at his child's Congres-Indians school in Barcelona, hoping to be joined by many other activists before police are expected arrive at 6 a.m. Sunday to clear the school to keep it from being used as a voting station. Satinya doesn't expect police to forcibly take them out of the school if the crowd is large enough to make removals difficult. He says "I am Catalan, but my fight is for social and civil rights, and that is what this about." He adds "I believe in the basic right of self-determination." ——— 6:00 p.m. A grassroots group tha...
